FireFox 1.0 is out

I know it's not 1.0 but 1.0000000.006 being released atm. (big update? where I see nothing?)

Anyway, some of your extensions may not work in this version, this is mostly thanks to the version number in the extensions package.

Like when a warranty expires and the machine breaks the same day.

How 2 repackage em? (how to chage the version number)

FireFox 1.0 is out: "It's easy to repackage them. Just open the .xpi file in WinZip, find the install.rdf file and open it in a decent text editor, change the maxVersion to 1.0 or greater, hit the save button in your text editor, close it, confirm to have the changes added to the .xpi archive, close WinZip, then drag the .xpi file onto an active browser window. Works like a charm and can be done in seconds. I just repackaged about thirty extensions this afternoon in a little bit of no time.

You'll need to download and save the .xpi's to your hard disk in order to repackage the extension, of course. Once you've repackaged them, you can probably just reinstall them to your existing profile and they'll work. "

Anchorun is a lazy way to traverse the web. While you are browsing a page, click on the anchorun icon on the toolbar, and look the browser surfing by itself - loading a random link from the current page, and then another from the next page and then... oh, great! A site I've never seen!"

Jawz!! This extension ownzz, it's so efficient but does nothing at the same time. I'm in love!

schestowitz.com : Mozilla Firefox Keyboard Navigation: "On my way to work today I decided it would be nice if switching between tabs in Firefox was possible using ALT tab_number. Guess what? This was already thought of. CTRL tab_number (for example, CTRL 1) will set focus on the tab that you requested. Use it. I strongly recommend that. – Roy"

Yahoo! 360° - My Blog - 'Techie' Jim's Blog - Tech Blog 360 - July 28, 2005 - 10:42pm EST: Outlook vs. Thunderbird
I am sure you all have, at one point used, been abused by, and ultimately quite using Outlook. Although its newest version (2003) does comply better with interoperabity (namely with other Office software such as Word), it still lacks many features and focuses too solely on the business world. Guess what, Microsoft... everyday, average users need....

Yahoo! 360° - My Blog - 'Techie' Jim's Blog - Tech Blog 360 - July 28, 2005 - 10:42pm EST: IE7 vs. FireFox
Internet Explorer has long been the most used browser, but as the internet continues to evolve and grow (like the cost of living), Internet Explorer seems to be sitting on a rock doing nothing but widdling (like the national minimum wage). So far, FireFox (even Safari, Netscape, and Opera) have easily kept up with updating standards and, in some cases, passed it up. With that mountain of money Microsoft sits upon at Redmond, you would think they could....

Mozilla Update :: Extensions -- More Info:SmartSearch - All Releases

This comment made me scream DUHHH for a bit, and stamp on the floor. How did I forget about it I now wonder .....

Mozilla Update :: Extensions -- More Info:SmartSearch - All Releases: "No quicksearches?

by Chris Povirk, July 06, 2005 9:15pm

Matt, The only people I've heard from who see a blank menu are those with no quicksearches installed. Go to a site like Google, right-click in the text field, choose 'Add a Keyword for this Search,' fill in the dialog box, and try SmartSearch again. If you have any problems, please contact me (beigetangerine (AT) gmail (DOT) com) so that I can try to figure out what might be wrong. (One possibility is that you're using Sync2It's BookmarkSync, which eats quicksearches. See the Bugs section of http://www.pitt.edu/~crp11/firefox/smartsearch/ for details.)"

I would like to right click a xml icon and have the link show up in the blog this window. Imagine the feeds we could discover on an archive page of the blog!

Would be really cool if you would use a span styled with orange background borders and some spacing to draw the XML icon. That would save us the complex hosting of the image. LOL

Anyway, this tool already rocks banana's. Thank you for making it. It's been the best bookmark sharing application for a long time in my opinion. :)"
